Chana Masala

Description

Craving some spicy indian street food? There you go! Here is how to prepare a deliciously spicy chana masala. This is one of my favourite Indian vegetarian recipe, rich and creamy, but beware this is spicy! You are going to love this vegan chana masala.

Ingredients

1/4 cup oil
1 sliced onion
1 tablespoon ground ginger
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tablespoon garam masala
1/2 tsp dried chili flakes
1 diced tomato
1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tablespoon maple sirup
1 1/2 cup coconut milk
2 cups caned chickpeas (540 ml or 1 can)
salt and pepper to taste

Directions

In a large saucepan cook onions, garlic and ginger in oil until onion start to soften, about 5 minutes.

Add garam masala, dried chili flakes, diced tomato, fenugreek seeds, paprika and maple sirup.

Stirr in coconut milk and add chickpeas.
