Apple Turnover

Description

Delicious, yet so easy to make. Anyone can do these apple turnovers! Try it with my caramel recipe HERE

Ingredients

1 apple
2 phyllo sheets of 30 cm x 40 cm
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

Preheat oven to 350˚F.

Cut the phyllo sheets in half widthwise.

Overlap the sheets one by one, brushing every sheet with oil between each overlay.

Remove the core of an apple and place in center of phyllo sheets.

Add sugar and cinnamon.

Close the dough by bringing each corner to the center and lightly oil.

Bake for 45 minutes or until the pastry is crisp and the apple is tender.

Serve topped with caramel and chopped pistachios.
