Vegan Burger





Vegan diet doesn’t mean boring diet. Vegetarian recipes can be fun and tasty. I know vegan burgers are not all alike. Sometimes they don’t have the desired texture. But this time everything is perfect! Brown rice and lentils go so well together. Try it with vegan mayonnaise it is fantastic. I hope you’ll enjoy this vegetarian burger as much as I do. 1 chopped onion
3 cups sliced mushrooms
3 dates pitted and chopped
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tbsp miso paste
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 cup water
2 cups of canned green lentils rinsed and drained
1 cup cooked brown rice
1 cup bread crumbs
salt and pepper


Sauté onions and mushrooms in olive oil for 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients except bread crumbs.
In a food processor grind half of the preparation. Mix the two halves then add the breadcrumbs. Mix well.
Shape into patties. Fry in a pan 2 minutes on both sides. Finish cooking in the oven at 375˚F (190˚C) for 10 minutes.
